In independent laboratory antimicrobial testing, PathoCide showed a greater-than-six-log reduction of listeria, E. coli, MRSA, streptococcus, and pseudomonas aeruginosa. It also tested a greater-than-six-log reduction of salmonella and a greater-than-four-log reduction of Norovirus. The testing was conducted as per AOAC Method 961.02 (AOAC Official Methods of Analysis; 2005) and ASTM E1053 “Standard Test Method for Efficacy of Virucidal Agents Intended for Inanimate Environmental Surfaces”
In a separate test, PathoCide lowered the number of E. coli and MRSA microorganisms by 100,000-fold within 10 seconds of contact. Disinfection efficacy rate testing was conducted as per ASTM 2315-08 “Standard Guide for Assessment of Antimicrobial Activity Using a Time-Kill Procedure”.
In a food contact surface sanitizer test, PathoCide effectively sanitized a surface where salmonella enterica typhi and staphylococcus aureus were present. Testing was conducted as per AOAC 955.16 “Chlorine Equivalency Method for Sanitizers Test.”
